No. Because the question is, "why isn't there a rule about this..." Which rules are made by the mods/forum owner.

I have been burned pretty bad by a FFL before. I put a 1000 dollar deposit on a larue- come two months later I found out that they haven't even ordered it yet. I went in got my money back, asked for the owner to call me and I never received a call. When I asked about it next time they said "he must not have felt like calling you, or he probably forgot".

I never made a post about it because I didn't really believe I had anything to gain through airing our issues on the internet. I just took my business elsewhere.

....I do love reading the internet drama though!

...everyone who bought one of those $400 Turner's SP2022s should have just kept their damn mouths shut and contacted Sig on their own instead of educating potentially hundreds of angry buyers who were wondering why their brand new gun was malfunctioning so much. All so Sig could maintain their reputation ultra-high QC.

This messageboard is a great resourse. You can come here and ask a question. Sometimes it's user error. Sometimes its a manufacturer defect. But if we can't compare our experiences, no one will learn anything.

This question could be rephrased: "Why do people make threads bashing the president, or a congress member who wrote a bad law, or a judge that doesn't rule on a case like he should, or is incorrect before contacting that person or government? Instead of handling the situation like an adult, calling their representative to offer a solution, they come here first and complain and bash publicly. It's pathetic if you ask me."

I disagree 100%, If someone has a situation and want to post there experience on a forum I think they should have the right. Just because the OP IN ANOTHER THREAD posted he was charged 20.00 for a lock that almost all other dealers charge 6.00 for does not mean you can never go there, what it means is you now have more knowledge of that business and can decide if you want to deal with a business that charges 20.00 for a 6 dollar lock.
I do think that If you have an issue with a business you should contact them before posting and give them a chance to make it right, but even if you don't I certainly am not a member of the posting police who decides what is posted or not.

what i think is funny is when somebody just rants on another user or shop but doesnt disclose what shop/user it was... then you get the chain of people demanding to know who the shop/calgunner was so they can avoid like the plague.
