Kimber Ultra Raptor--hard chromed?

Howdy. The stainless ultra raptor is off list. If I were to get the blued ultra that is approved, and have it hard chromed, would I basically have a comparable gun? Are the blued steel and the stainless the same other than the obvious? The site says they weigh the same.

I just like the silver look better. Any opinions on hard-chroming functionality on that gun?

What area are you in? If you're in the SF/Bay Area, just do the single shot exemption. Valkyrie Arms would be a good place to start. Saves you time & money on getting it hard chromed.

also, do you think the ss ultra carry or TLE would be the same gun essentially? (actually are they on list?). Is the Raptor just the scales and the grip?

May be the same guns under the hood.
