700 BDL stamped U.S.1903

Has anyone ever seen a Left hand 700 bdl with:
U.S.
1903
It is stamped on the recv'r, it is factory and is covered by the Weaver back scope mount
The barrel is 1in longer than any BDL I have seen.
I bought it new in 82, it probably sat on the wall for years since it was left hand, it went to custom shop that day. I called a few months ago, looking for a build sheet and they have no record of the rifle.
It has the stamp R.P.E. OR P.R.E. ( i forget) These are acronyms (Precision Remington Engineering or Remington Precision Engineering) stamped @ 5pm on the barrel above the forearm, this is the stamp the Custom shop told me to look for. (FYI they do have build sheets, not from 25 years ago.)
The bolt is electro penned sn#46** It has all the warning stamps on the barrel, indicating it was bought off 'the floor' by the guy @ the Custom shop' which I already knew.
Anyone know about the stamp the U.S.1903 STAMP? I suspect it is the 75th anniversary of the 1903, but I have never seen another like it.

Could it be chambered for the 1903 cartridge which is slightly different than the .30-06? Perhaps a call to Remington will help. I imagine they keep records of their custom shop creations.

No chambered for 30 06

I bought 2 of them in 82, I think they sat there for years. I have called Remington. They do keep records for custom built rifles, but not that far back. The guy I spoke to didn't know about US 1903 stamp. I'll try again though, see if I can find some one that was there 30-40 years ago. My other BDL was a bit different than the ones that were in the arms room. I would have to have them side by side I do not remember.
Both rifles are long bolts, sequential numbered, both left handed, both sent to the custom shop. I broke my right clavicle and a good left hand rifle was and is hard to find, and I needed a good long reach rifle for my job. I shoot ambidextrous and 30 06 or bigger hurts.
They are (were) both chambered for a for 30 06. 1 was a combat loss, the one I have left has never been shot. AS far as ammo used, I shot what my armorer gave me 176gr boat tails @ about 2800fps.
I just wondered about that U.S. 1903 stamp and that inch longer barrel those 2 rifles are the only ones I have ever seen it on, it is a factory stamp no doubt about that.
The combat loss rifle was VERY accurate and with a good shooter would go to 900+ yds I would guess the one I have is the same.
