    .22 pistol?

    Hey everyone,

New here. New gun owner. Target practice at the range with my .45 is killing my bank account so I am in the market for a .22 pistol for target practice (easier on the $$). Looking for suggestions on what to buy. Thanks!

I have 2 Browning Buckmarks which I really like. I also have a Ruger semi-auto which I like and a Ruger Bearcat rev which does not get shot due to collector value unfired.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

What kind of .45 do you have?

You can get a conversion kit for 1911s

            P22 is a great choice.

I shoot a lot of .45 and decided to get a .22 pistol for the same reason. I ended up getting the Ruger Mark III hunter. I have a red dot affixed and I have to admit- it's in the running as my favorite gun right now! My buddy jokes and calls it my "sniper pistol" because I'm hitting man size targets with it at 200 yards.
I've also heard you can't go wrong with the Browning buckmark

I have a GSG 191122LR, around 400 bucks. The gun feels and handles just like my Springfield Trophy, although lighter and MUCH CHEAPER to shoot. It is a very accurate hand gun for the price. It has a threaded barrel cap that comes off and has a 28 tpi already there for an accessory.

Thanks for all the replies. A lot to look at now. glanced at the P22... looks nice.

I have a Springfield xd45 tactical right now, so the conversion kit is not a possibility.

Thanks again. I appreciate all the responses!

+1 on the ruger 22/45. Looks sweet!

I have two Ruger 22 pistols now (standard and Mk2 target) and love them both. You can't go wrong with a Ruger .22 auto pistol.
