Looking for a database full of gun values?

    Howdy, CGNers.

Is there any website I can check out to look up current values of guns?

I've never had to do this before, so IDK where to go.

    Thanks

blue book of firearms has a online version, but it's a paid site.

I have a sub. If you want, I can look up values for you.

sign up for gunbroker (free) then search in the completed auctions

Those are the current market values, by definition.

+1 that is exactly what I do. However, keep in mind many of the sales are for handguns with mag capacity that do not conform to CA restrictions. One of my searches, for instance, is "P226 10 rd". That way, you get only the transactions that you can legally purchase here in CA.

The other thing to consider is the CA "premium" you'll pay for a non-roster gun (SSE, local PPT, other). Gunbroker is a good starting point. Seems like whatever the selling/sold price is in a free state is noticeably lower than it would be or is here (Pythons immediately come to mind).

Ah, OK. This looks like the simplest solution.

            Thanks guys!
