Ran into Chris Webber @ RCGE yesterday. Turned out to be a really nice dude. I didn't want to "bug" him too much, so (as quietly & as patiently as I could - even though I still felt as though I probably looked like an idiot/bitch) I waited as he was browsing the ever-trusty Rem 870 Police Magnums. By "waited", I mean that my son, 14, is a HUGE Sac Kings fan (has been all his life-was very "distressed" when his favorite player (C.W.) was traded), and I just HAD to get an autograph for my bud. It's what ANY dad would do! Just as C.W. is about to leave, he was not only gracious enough to oblige with the "personalized Hancock," but just as he was doing so, my son calls me on my cell- and I had a little surprise for him: Chris was also cool enough to make my kid's YEAR by getting on the phone for a quick chat. To say that Jr. is still on cloud 9 would be an understatement! The NBA "star" did not have to do any of those things (as I'm sure he gets it 24/7), but was a decent enough human being to make a kid's day. +100 for C. Webb - you're a good guy, man!
