yup, pull the parts, replace powder and primer, reassemble and fire!

That or give it a few more strikes to see if you can get it to go off.

Some Milsurp ammo does this. Wait the ~60 sec and try again. Usually goes bang the second time.
          YMMV

Yeah, I tried to refire these and no bang.

Plus, I have a few old weathered rounds that must have been picked up out on BLM.

yup get the right tool and remove the bullet, dump powder, de-cap the cartridge.

Note that de-capping a live primer can be dangerous... however I have done it on many occasions with no issues. Care, low force, and extremely low speed. I have actually been able to reuse live primers I have de-capped from a failed/damaged cartridge.

              Waste not, want not.

never worry about the primer. pull the bullet dump the powder. put the case in the press when you resize the primer is spent if it goes off it goes off. just keep going.

                    Are these rimfire or centerfire?

Umm, last I checked that is a good way to damage your equipment. Primer detonations are not gentle nor cool things, nor is all the hot gases and vaporized heavy metals that will be flying upwards into your face regions.

I had a "delayed ignition" (I don't know if that is the correct term), but I always wait a few seconds before extracting the round if I have a failure to fire.
Wednesday was the day I experienced it for the first time. I heard a click and just held the trigger. Before I let the trigger go and before the reset happened (this was a good 3-5 secs.) it went bang.

FWIW- the ammo was TULA 76239.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks.

I'm always careful. I just didn't expect it to happen.
