This is a very common problem. When I started shooting it was pointed out to me that I was shooting with my right hand, left eye. A very nice guy helped me worked with me. His fix was either shoot using my left hand or learn to use my right eye. If you want a good laugh see me shoot weak hand. Since then I have learned to use my right eye and it helped me achieve another level of precision.

In your case I would go see an optometrist and get a decent set of glasses that will help with focusing on your front sight.

No easy answer, just need to work through it. Sammy

There's nothing wrong with shooting right hand, sighting left eye (cross dominant). As long as your technique is sound, you should do what's natural. You shouldn't force yourself to be same side dominant if that's not what comes naturally.

Absolutely. We teach cross dominant people to shoot to manage a handgun using their dominant hands and dominant eyes all the time. One of our instructors is cross dominant. And of course, when someone who is non cross dominant shoots with his non-dominant hand (which is something anyone interested in the defensive use of a handgun should be practicing), he is shooting cross dominant.

It's a tougher proposition with a long gun.

          OHOD,

I wear glasses too. I'm far-sighted (can't see close up). I had my eye doctor make some shooting glasses for me that moved my point of focus so I could see
          better close and far.

You might ask yours if they can do that.
