Dad shoots man holding daughter hostage

Did a search and did not see this story, but sorry to Internet cops if this is a dup! Top Shot Dustin posted this on Facebook and it's a good outcome for a screwed up situation.

How does that "for the children" saying go???

I was going to post this, but not for the same reasons. This was a real life shooting where a barrier was in the way (the door). I've seen so many people post about how they would never shoot through a door, but I can think of many situations where it could be needed. This video shows that it does happen, and that life is unpredictable. Train the way you fight, and you'll fight the way you train.

Crazy world we live in huh?
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

What a great outcome! And the mother hired them to kidnap her own daughter? What a piece of work.

Well, the door did have quite a bit of glass in it and even if not completely clear probably at least enough vision to still be able to identify the target. That's not quite the same as the solid doors with maybe a peep-hole that I think a lot of people are actually referring to.

But damn, good shooting on the part of the Father. The Mother can rot in jail.

why would they waste helicopter fuel on a suspect?
