Got free time on Saturday so I was wondering if it is worth it to go to this show, i have never been. Is it small and mostly jerky and ninja stuff or is it a descent show to go to?

Antioch gun show this weekend

I've never been to this show and have always wondered about it. I like the Vallejo and Cow Palace shows. San Jose show is not very good IMO.

It's the same folks that run the Vallejo one, so I'd imagine it'll be very similar in terms of vendors and quality.
I'm going to head up just to do some pricing, but I'm really not expecting anything decent. Just a lot of old shotguns, ammo, jerky and tasers.1928 Tula 91/30 | 1944 Izhevsk M44 | As yet unknown 91/30 and M44 - still in the box | 1976 Walther P-1...Daddy, what else did you leave for me?

Yeah I have been there it is a real small show. You get some different people there. As far as gun shows I think this is one of the smallest held in the bay area. So don`t be surprised if you get let down by it.
On the up side you don`t pay for parking and you don`t pay for bridge toll. Which saves half the cost.
Over all it`s an okay show. Almost snatch a real good deal on a rifle there years ago but sadly I was dumb and din`t went back to another 2 shows never saw another deal but that was a couple years ago.All Right MEOWComment

I would'nt go its not worth the drive from El Dorado hills. It's pretty small.Do not fear the enemy, for your enemy can only take your life. It is far better that you fear the media, for they will steal your Honour

Second that... and from El Dorado Hills go to Reno. It is a very good show.
However you never know what you find at any show and they just might have that 1 thing you got to have.
And if you do go to Reno and buy any high cap mags make sure to disassemble them before coming back into CA.Comment

Nope, and l also live close in Walnut Creek. Save your gas and buy jerky at 7-11. -gIf ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.

I'll probably stop by after work. I believe Luis (AR15Gearsofwar) will be there.Comment

I've been to this show on about 3 occassions over the years and I would say you could walk through it slowly in about 30 minutes (tiny). At the height of the obama scare there was alot of price gouging by by a few vendors selling cheap chinese knock-offs, Alot of C&R stuff, a few meager Black Rifle Vendors (selling $350 stripped lowers) and the usual antique/accessory vendors. BUT...It's been a few years since I've been and Im hoping things have changed. II know things have settled down and more folks have rustled up the courage to sell quality black rifle goods for better prices. I'm hoping this shows today.

Small show as usual. Ammo prices are the same as local retail.
Came home with 10/30 Pmags for $17 each, cleaning patches, misc stuff.Comment

I really don't know how that man makes money with the prices he charges. Obviously he's doing well since his family has several booths at all the gun shows. My friend says it's cuz he's in it with the cartels...
