Want to do a test. FrogLube vs Gunzilla vs ??

I have been seeing all the talk about cleaners and such.

I have also seen the Salt Water Spray test ( great if I leave my gun at the beach ) but have not seen any test for cleaning carbon after shooting and or lubrication tests.

Well I don't have the needed equipment for a lubrication test but I think I can do a Carbon test, with a little help...

I don't have, nor have I used FL before, so I need a volunteer to fully treat a piece of scrap metal with FL, preferably in the Crock-Pot soaking method. Anyone willing to volunteer? I'll send you the piece or we can schedule a meetup. (Newport Beach Area)

What other products would you like to see tested? I have 3 or 4 pieces I can use for the test. I can also get more if needed.

I basically plan to subject them to fire and high temp, coating them with carbon and smoke and then will clean them off and see how they do.

Synthetic Mobil 1 is not a good cleaner, but it will take off the light loose stuff on the surface. Cleaning your gun with oil would be messy.

I'll treat a piece of metal, I picked up some FL at the last Glendale show after hearing all the hub-bub about it and I've actually been mildly impressed. I won't be down that way any time soon, but if you wanted to send it up to Simi I can treat it for ya.

                      +1 for CLP testing

I use it, and just got some Froglube too just to see what its about.

Slip-2000. Froglube and Slip-2000 are the best lubes out there from the research I've done.

My AR has never been so easy to clean after using Frog Lube as the lubricant. The carbon fouling just doesn't stick like it did with Breakfree CLP or Hoppes elite or Otis CLP .

Never tried gunzilla after FL works so good.

                          Tagged for results.

But this is going to be a test of the cleaning ability not the lubrication

I have some homemade stuff you can try out. PM me a mailing address and I'll try to sent it out Saturday. I can't send it out any sooner. It might take a few days to get to you.

You could also try old spark plugs. They usually have some baked on carbon.
