Has anyone been to the Phoenix gun show?

Thinking about going and I have heard it is a big and much better gun show than anything here in Cali. Has anyone been there and is it as good as what I hear it is?

I went to the big Phoenix show a few years back, and it was awesome (not a word I use often)!

Huge, with 3-4 buildings the size of the Cow Palace show, dozens of people walking around with personal guns for sale, and all sorts of guns and accesories. What made me drool was the price of clean older S&W revolvers and the wide assortment of stuff you can't get in California.

If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a trip (we drove up from Tucson for the day). The big Reno gun show is another good option close to California.

Thanks fellas, pretty much sums up what I have heard about it. How does it compare to the old Great Western Gun Shows at the Pomona fairgrounds.

The SAR show is fantastic. If I remember correctly, there were 3 buildings, each the size of a Pomona building. Definately worth the trip.

OK, the big question is, can you purchase guns there, I know you can't leagally in NV? I thinks some states will allow sales to non-residents, but not sure which ones.

Arizona will not sell guns to Californians. I happen to be lucky enough to be a dual state resident!!!

My understanding is person to person for Az residents only...or other states with similar rules as Az but not to the liberal state (Ca) residents.

                        Per http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com/gunsched.htm

November 30th to December 2nd at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix.

It looks like Small Arms Review isn't piggybacking on to this show like they have in the past.

Since the show is put on by Crossroads of the West, you end up seeing a lot of the same types of vendors (beef jerky, coin collectors, airsoft) that you'd see at say, the Cow Palace show. But that's offset by all the cool gun stuff that's there. As others have mentioned, it's a fairly large show. Six or seven buildings, plus vendors outside between buildings.

It is so big that you will be hard pressed to see it all in one day. I bought eight guns last year at the show, but can not make it this year.

GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO

I don't waste my time with the Del Mar shows- Jewelry, Jerky and Jerk offs. (Limited selection from less than friendly dealers who act like they don't want you to buy a gun from them. (except CWS!- you guys have always rocked)

I went to last year's SAR show and walked around like a perv in the playboy mansion. Drooling everywhere.

Want a quad M2 50BMG wheeled setup- $350K and it's yours-SERIOUSLY!. Want an MP5K? $20-25K. Obviously we can't buy them but just to see them for sale as well as AR'S, AK's, FAL's sitting around like they were legal or something. Parts?, Mags?, whatever?- this is the show to go to.
Want to handle real firearms? GO GO GO GO GO GO GO

I am going again anext week and getting the things which are legal here (of course) but that people won't ship bhere ecause they won't actually read the laws
