Sorry, I know the title is a bit off. Anyone know the story behind this? Such a shame...some nice wheel guns in there too.

Guns seized as evidence in crimes, ordered destroyed by the courts. Happens every year.

Look at the shine on those shoes!,and our leaders allow themselves to be spoon fed with foreign BS and have forgotten that the great majority of americans do not live in secluded gated comunities with private security 24/7 like they do, while the rest of us are subject to defending ourselves without Police escorts whenever we need it. they dont realize we are subject to different dangers than they are, and we must have and keep the right do defend ourselves!Comment

Of course it's FBI or some other LEA agent doing it.
You know those gun buy backs? This is usually what happens to them.
The years marked on the boxes? Probably means it was stuff confiscated for one reason or another and never returned to it's owner(for any number of reasons).Comment

I am currently getting a gun back JUST so this wont happen to it.
Long story but officers took it from my moms home because they thought she was a threat to herself. I kind of think the way they went about it wasn't right. But I guess when it was all said and done it was probably for the best. Not that they knew that.
But anyway, my mom had a bunch of medical problems, was an alcoholic and the police one night had he taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation. During the process they confiscated her firearm.
She passed away in 2009 and I have been meaning to get the gun from the SO. just not on my priority list. I had to go through two process. one, I had to submit a form to the DOJ to get the gun in my name.
Got that back but I never got around to doing the rest of it so I forgot what else I needed to to.
Last week I went to the SO and talked with the lady, she thought there was a good possibility they no longer had it, but she said she would check and call me back.
She called me back and was happy and said she found it and she had put a note on it years ago not to do anything with it before contacting me and it still had my phone number on it.
So anyway, she told me what I needed to do next which is fill out another form and send it to the DOJ with $20.00 which is a handgun release form. the lady at the SO said they will do a back ground check on me and if everything is good they will send me a letter with a gold seal on it, then a bring it in to them and they will release the handgun to me.
It is just an S&W .38 special. never been much into revolvers. I am really mainly doing it because it belonged to my mom but also because I don't want to see a good gun get destroyed.

The blue milk crate has scopes in it. Because scopes are soooo dangerous.
I wonder if those milk crates say "$2500 fine for possession by other than the lawful owner" on them like most do. If so, we need to BUST THOSE CLOWNS!

Guns used in crimes should be sold or given to disadvantaged families and victims of crimes so that they have something on hand to defend themselves with.
No wait, there I go again imagining that this world is about protecting victims. Silly me.
