    Dan Wesson 1911 Poll

    Hey everyone,

I am looking to get a 1911 and have narrowed it down to the Dan Wesson however I am stuck on which one. I can get:

    1) Dan Wesson RZ-45 Heritage for $875.00
    2) Dan Wesson Classic Bobtail CBOB for $875.00
    3) Dan Wesson Valor VBOB for $1299.00

I like the Valor better, but the price tag on the others seems too hard to pass. Is the Valor worth the extra price tag?

My question is where the hell you found a cbob for that price? I would jump on the cbob just because they are a great concealable pistol.

If you can get them for that price, get all 3, or tell me where I can get the two you decide to pass on.

Still worth it, unless the blemish in question affects functionality. For the range, I'd get the Valor or the RZ-45. The RZ-45 I have is a very accurate gun, and I'm yet to experience a problem with it. I didn't get it for $875 though... For that price, I'd get the second one. Now, if you'd kindly PM me where I can get the two you're not picking up...

I've heard the blems are difficult to discern, so by all means get one!

I have a 2008 CBOB I bought from a member here a couple years back and I could not be more pleased with it.

                  DW builds a fine 1911.

FWIW, the VBOB is said to be REAL nice, and at that price, it might just be worth it to step up a notch.

Well, they changed to forged frames in 2010, I believe. However, their older frames were good, too.
