engraving firearm question and asking for suggestions

I have a buddy who does laser engraving professionally. Am I correct in thinking that I can have any design on my AR15 magwell/lower as long as I do not overwrite the manufacturer, serial number, model, etc?


My favorites so far for the side opposite the serial number:

Thank you, A****** M******! in script below the old BOF logo. Does anyone know if it is OK to use the old logo? If I can't, then it's not really funny.

Yes, as long as he doesn't keep it overnight. For him to do that he needs to have an FFL.

I'm pretty sure if he does not have an FFL then you need to be present at all times while he works on it/has it in his possession.
