Oresco ridge

Great letter to the editor in the San Diego Union this morning. It addresses that the Forest service will spend close to 1 million dollars to update, and make safer, a place in San Diego called Cedar Creek Falls. It's a place where college kids go to get drunk and jump off a waterfall. A kid was killed last year and it was closed for "safety" reasons.
The letter futher points out that NOTHING has been done to make Oresco Ridge acceptable so it can be reopened for shooting. The letter is entitled "off target".

Hopefully it will inspire others to get off their butts and write their Congressman about reopening Oresco.

Not to be a grammar Nazi or anything, but its spelled Orosco.

Other than that I thinks its awesome youre actually doing something rather than just complaing about it as most people (myself included) do.

Edit: Apparently my reading comprehension skills suck. I thought you were going to write the letter, so I wanted to make sure you had the correct spelling to make the letter look as good as possible. If the letter already ran and you just posted about it I couldnt care less. My apologies

The problem with orosco ridge is the overall layout. There's only 1 out of 5 safe shooting areas. The rest of them hook around in front of shooting area 1.

Its impossible to fix that place because you can't change the natural lay of the land....

Arghh.... I gotta stop drinking while I type. This was just a brain fart. I spellted everything correctly when I mailed D. Hunter about a year ago... Never heard back though...
