    Bullets in Magazines

Will it harm the magazine if you have bullets in them all the time even when they are just in storage? thanks

And please don't call them "bullets." They're rounds, or cartridges.

Don't worry about it...it bugs me when people interchange the terms "font" and "typeface"...they are not the same thing either.

Are you concerned about keeping your magazine springs compressed?

If you leave them loaded for long periods of time you can wear out the springs and in some cases the feed lips. Just change out the mags occasionally.

I rotate every 6 months between 3 sets. Loaded, unloaded, springs out of mag bodies "breathing" under no tension.

This is only for my primary guns (same gun x2). My other gun mags I keep unloaded until I need them.

Sorry, I also intended to respond to the original question...

It shouldn't harm the magazine. If you are specifically concerned about the magazine springs, what wears that part out is the cycles of compression and rebound as the magazine is loaded and unloaded.
