    Parallax adjustment - how?

I have a Nikon Monach-X scope that has parallax adjustment, but I did not see anything in the manual about when or how to do it. It has dots on the knob incrementing in size. I assume the dots equate to distance, but have not seen a chart anywhere.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Disregard symbols and markings, adjust until clear.

Just turn the knob until your sight picture is nice and clear.

Actually, adjust untill it no longer has paralax...that is not always the same as optical focus. Get the rifle up on a bag or bipod and a rear bag so it is on target with out you touching the rifle. Look through the scope (without touching the rifle) and slightly move you head side to side or up and down. If the crosshairs appear to be moving in relation to the target, you need to adjust the paralax. Adjust untill the crosshairs do not move compared to the target.
