    Get you STUFF together!

Get you STUFF (or whatever you call it) together! This subject is on the top of my mind a lot.

    Well everyone talks about SHTF and zombies, etc, etc. But from what I have seen I think very few people have guns that are ready to go. I have seen so many rifles at the range that;

    1. are not sighted in (at any range)
    2. The scope is not sighted in (at any range)
3.. are not oiled or not cleaned
    4. Owner did not bring ammo
    5. Owner has not clue about legalities. (Bullet buttons are for babies, you'll never get caught. etc..)

I often think that if someone "mastered" a rifle before they bought another gadget or grass is green rifle they would be better off.

I know for myself I am behind too, I would like to have charts filled our for all yardages on my AR out to 500 yards or so.

Haha - love this post. Don't forget pistols - lots of folks show up at ranges with DRY guns - and I mean - never been lubricated - EVER. Amazing..
I always wonder - "Do you drive your car without oil also?"

You are clearly not talking about CGNers, or at least the ones in the SHTF threads...

As long as mine are sighted in and cleaned, lubed after every use I'm not worried about it.

"Um, yeah, my gun jams a lot, and I don't know why, it's brand new.."

"Have you ever disassembled and cleaned and oiled it?"

"Oh, you have to put oil in it, like a car?"

"Uh, not really, you have to lubricate the moving parts..."

"Really, can you show me how to do that?"

                "Yes"

                "How much do you charge?"

                "Bring me your WOMEN!"

One of the above lines has been altered from the original conversation, can you guess which one?
