    Enjoyed yesterday

Went out yesterday with the wife and kids, mom and dad, and my neighbor and his daughter. What a great time. Fired off 500 rounds of .22 from my rifle and my old h and r pistol and my old ruger bear cat. Finally got to shoot my glock .45 and I love it. We shot SKS, mini 30, a few differnt .45's, 9mm, shotguns, .22's and recently I repaired my dads Savage model 6a that had not been shot sind 1974. I think I need a mini 30 now. The best part was teaching my daughter to shoot. She was able to hit pigeons with my 12g and best of all she handled my glock .45 and my ruger p89 9mm very well and very accurate for being 12. Yes daddy was right there supervising and as always cleaned up our mess and then some when we left. Just thought i would share my day...

Good to hear, kids should learn proper gun safety at a early age. Those ruger mini's are fun, i'm trying to hold back as i have been wanting a ruger mini 14 but already have a couple ar's

Yeah they are awesome I had never shot one before. It just might have to be my next purchase. My son who is 8 is also a great little shooter with the .22 I was quite proud of him too hitting targets over 100 yards out. Love teaching my kids safety and proper shooting. It was just an all around good time

Sounds like a perfect day out, I'm jealous!

I can't even get my girlfriend to drive past a range let alone come in and learn to shoot. Got my 9 yo his first air rifle all ready for Xmas morning , so I can get him into safety, and the fundamentals now. Gotta combat his moms gun hate now before it's too late.
A brand new Red Ryder , And 1000 rds lol. I hope someday I can get the whole family into shooting .

My wife never likes guns either and in the last few months I have taken her out and now she just wants to buy more..Woohooo lucky me. I got my son a daisy 880 bb gun for christmas, the exact same one I had when I was a kid, he loves it but after shooting a .22 all he wants for christmas now is his own .22 my daughter too.

That is really great. I wish my dad had done that for me. I could have been a gun nut a long time ago.

I can't wait to really get my kids into guns. I am taking my 27yo daughter to Front Sight in December, and the 14 yo son there in the spring.

I think it will be some good bonding time.
