and our leaders allow themselves to be spoon fed with foreign BS and have forgotten that the great majority of americans do not live in secluded gated comunities with private security 24/7 like they do, while the rest of us are subject to defending ourselves without Police escorts whenever we need it. they dont realize we are subject to different dangers than they are, and we must have and keep the right do defend ourselves!

So? I'd like to see all the public high schools in California return to their old ways, reopen all the ranges at the schools and offer "marksmanship" as a PE class again.

I'm a high school teacher. I've thought for a while about starting a shotgun/trap club, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Not sure if admin would even let me do it.

Some of the other high schools in my area have one.

He's got a good program going. I offered my Public Safety class a range day on a Saturday as I could not get the school to agree to having one during class time. No students showed up and I wasn't surprised since the school treated the class as a dumping ground for students that they didn't know what to do with.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

My high school in VA (graduated 2003) had a marksmanship class you could take. They would shoot air rifles in the gym and archery on one of the soccer fields. It was a pretty cool class and was very popular with students from all cliques attending. I hope they still do it.
