The state is after the $25.

I bought a new handgun about a year and a half ago, before that was when all you had to show was a hunting license. So, a year and a half ago was the first time I took the test, I got 100%. I've never heard of anyone failing it but I'm sure it happens.

Seriously, when you have questions like this:

#21: What is the safest direction possible to point a gun?

          A) Towards your feet
          B) Towards babies
          C) Towards Law Enforcement Officers
          D) Towards the safest direction possible
How can you possibly fail the test?

You pretty much have to be this lady:

LOL, I know a guy that I guess would have chose "A) Towards your feet", let's just say he earned himself the nickname "nine-toes" while giving someone a demonstration on how to operate the safety on a shotgun.

How long does one have to wait between failures?

I got %100 but I've been shooting for forty years and had the NRA courses years ago.

But what about someone who has never touched or really thought about guns and decides they now need one for protection? I can see those folks doing poorly on the test.

I took the HSC test about three years ago, and missed zero. The last time I'd purchased a pistol before that, there was no such thing as a HSC test...

                      Was it this guy?

Oh for god sake, I suck. Can someone "reschool" me on embedding?

                        LOL!

You should have taken the test back when you needed 13wpm CW for General and 20wpm for Extra, that was a b*itch...

Exactly. When I took my mine, the guy at the gun shop just told me that the test is just one more way for the state to get another $25 out of us. I missed one and it was the question about PTP between family members. You seriously have no business owning a gun if you can't pass that test.

No, definitely not Mr. Glock fo-tay DEA guy. Although the similarities are there.

You put the as455nlokjc9 portion at the end of the youtube URL between the [youtube] tags.

Sorry, I know it is off topic, but this one in particular irks me to no end... it reminds me of the "race laws" of the south that you had to take a test to vote not so long ago..
If the test wasn't so freaking easy, there would be more people making a big deal about it. As it is though, I truly fear anyone handling a firearm who cannot pass this test. The 10 day wait period is a far bigger annoyance.
