    Spray paint aluminum mags?

Hey guys. I have a few old aluminum mags that are turning almost gold around the corners. The mags function without any problems. I was wondering if it's safe to spray paint the old mags with one of those epoxy based paints designed for aluminum....

Nothing fancy, just black or gray. My concern is that maybe the paint would be too thick making it stick in the magwell or that it will peal and make its way into the chamber.....

Why fix whats not broke? They will naturally show signs of wear, just like us.

I have painted a pmag and it didn't bind in the magwell.
Ihave painted a usgi and it was already I slightly tight fit.no real difference.

I think birchwood casey is what you're referring to. Careful you don't leave it on too long though, or else you get random dark spots.

Permasilk. It's the same moly paint from the factory, just scrape off the old finish with steel wool, degreaser it, clean it and apply it, they will look brand new.

+1, uglier the better for me. Less questions asked when at the range. Keep the pretty ones in the safe
