Mini-14 magazine question

Hello,

In an For Sale ad for a Ruger Mini-14 this was stated, "In California this is considered a non-featured rifle which can use detactable magazines of any size."

Writing to ask if this is correct.

that is correct. but you have to have owned the 10+ magazines before 2000 yourself.

^^^True---good thing I stashed away several factory 20 and 30 round mags way back in the late 80s.
