M1 Garand Stock Extension ?

I need to extend the stock of my Garand by around two inches for a proper fit. I know I can get a slip on recoil pad (and the like) to lenghten it somewhat but, before I start experimenting, has anyone seen anything else that may work?

I understand there are a couple of recoil pads out there designed for this purpose with the Garand. One is made by John Mason. Im still looking for the other one..
