Ok so i have a green card and have done over 30 PPT since collecting handguns and have always used 3 months utility bills to show ive been at my residence for that time.
Last Saturday i did a PPT at Reeds indoor shooting range in Santa Clara, when they looked over my utility bills they told me that even though it shows that they are continuous from one bill to another, because the statements flow from one billing month to the next on each statement example below:
1st bill
Statement date - 04/19/11 payment date due - 05/16/11
2nd bill
statement date - 06/16/11 payment date due - 07/13/11
3rd bill
statement date - 08/16/11 payment date due - 09/12/11
They are not sure if this shows that they are continuous as the statement date jumps each over month when it comes in the mail and we pay the bill on line. Though clearly you can see when looking at the bills that they are a continuous flow with no gaps in payment therefore no gaps in the billing periods.
Reeds told me i would need another document to back this up such as an auto insurance policy.
Ok thats fine i can get my auto ins policy for them but that's just going to show them that its covered for ex number of months that i pay for not that i have been living at the same address for over 3 months.
I suggested that i use my car registration which i have alway used if asked for at other gun stores as a 2nd form to show i have been living were i say i have.
Reeds told me that the car registration is no good, yet at every other store that i have done PPT that requested 2nd I.D. to show how long i have resided there the car registration was just fine as long as it indicated i have lived there for 3 months.
This is a 1st for me to come across this as a green card holder and i wonder based on all the other gun stores i have done PPT at and never had a problem could Reeds have it wrong.
