OK so decided I want to downsize my cleaning bucket down to something more manageable.
So my problem is deciding which kit would work best for me. There is the m4 kit, the police kit, and the tactical cleaning kit.
I have an Ar-15 style rifle in 5.56, a .40 cal pistol, a .22, a 12ga shotgun, a 7.62x54 rifle and a Saiga in 7.62x39 coming out of jail this week. Also include plans for a 9mm pistol soon.
I like the m4 kits because they have tools for cleaning the bolt, but I have brushes and picks already. I notice that the standard tactical kit claims it cleans everything from .17 to .50 cal but doesn't list how long the cleaning rods are. They all seem to include an extractor tool, a bore reflector/chamber flag and of course patches and a small amount of cleaning fluid. Which is not a problem as I have several cleaning products already.
So I have a few questions, are the flexible rods connectable to extend length? Will the 6 brushes included in the tactical kit include one for the 7.62x39 (basically a .30 cal) or will I need to buy that separate?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
