Not to push any legal boundaries or anything but after recently placing an order from MidwayUSA.com as a private customer, I was unfortunate enough to view the same items I had purchased through my local FFL's account on Midway and everything totaled out to about $90 as opposed to my original $125.
I know that when you register an account with Midway they ask you if you're a LEO/Military/Distributor etc., and I answered truthfully stating that I was not. BUT, I recently spoke with an acquaintance who is just a standard citizen such as myself, and he claims to have registered as a "distributor" when he created his account and can now purchase items at their discounted prices. He also said no credentials were required in order to register as a "distributor".
Is this really possible? Does Midway not require verification for people who claim to be LEO/Military/FFL's etc? It seems quite farfetched to me for a business of their size to be so lackadaisical about verifying the credentials of customers they offer discounts to, but who knows.
Any factual information is appreciated, thanks guys.
