Sig P226 .40 First Range Trip

    I'm still making wood. Unreal.....

I answered my own question. The Sig beats the HK hands down.

I have never shot a finer firearm out of the box. Gave it a good cleaning then took it to the range today. First target is first 10 down the pipe. The bottom target I was actually walking the dog along the jaw bone. Minimal recoil for a 40 and you can get back on target very quickly. No problems with feed.

    Target at 15'-17'.

Have it cleaned and it will be my primary at FS 4-day course I will be attending in the near future.

Can't goes wrong with a Sig.

I shot this same model/caliber on Tuesday and agree with what you have to say. It's accurate and the build quality is exceptional.

I hear you. Just picked up my new P220 a couple of months ago (my first Sig). I think I might be a fanboy now. SO MUCH BETTER than the HK USP I got rid of.

Very nice. I'm leaning towards SIG now as well

Congrats! I have the stainless model, I have never held or fired a pistol that I liked better. Wouldn't change a thing about it (except maybe pick up a .357 barrel).

Nice shooting dude! I got a stainless one myself and picked up the .357 sig barrel. She's a pig but she sure does soak up the recoil! And when you run out of ammo you can club the z's on the head!

Nice....P226 .40 is my favorite handgun, period.

Consider getting the SRT kit if you haven't. Don't know where you are located but if you want to shoot my SRT you are welcome to. I'll be at the range tomorrow. Best mod you can ever get for a sig.

I also have an E2 grip being delivered tomorrow. I hope I like it.

Thanks for the reports. I love my P226 9mm ... but I'm now thinking of getting a Sig something in .40, as well.

Did you try shooting both double and single action? I can't work out why, but my double-action shooting is usually more accurate than single-action

Yes I did. The first round is in condition two and DA. Sweet trigger pull in DA is on of the pluses.

Not surprising at all. You're concentrating more on the longer trigger stroke and less on catching your sights on the target.

I have that happen a lot with my clients. As you gain better trigger control, the SA will improve...not that there is anything wrong with DA

Congratulations, and nice shooting! Love that first mag... I did that when I got my Kimber and like you, I had wood for like a week. For y'all with ED probs, just go get a $1000 gun My next pistol will be a 226 stainless Elite.
