Botach Tactical Glock mag screw up.

OK, I've heard the rumors about bad customer service, but despite that I wanted to give them a shot. Especially when mags were only $19 a pop; and they sold out FAST.

I ordered two Glock 31 (standard size) mags last week and I just got the package today. In the package were two Glock 27 (subcompact) mags.

Sent them an email, hoping for a response tomorrow. The drama continues... Why can't companies get it right the first time?

    Thanks for hearing my rant/experience.

    UPDATE 9/27/11
After getting an email from Mike@Botach last week promising to send me the right mags with a "we're sorry we screwed up so we'll give you an additional gift for your troubles"; so I had to RESEND them the wrong ones. I get an email that they recieved my return package to find out that they only have one G31 mag in stock.

Meh, i had a similar problem with my mag order...

They got the mags right, but i also ordered a couple of Pearce extensions and they only sent one. Now they are filing a claim with USPS i guess, even though it was pretty obvious to me that their shipping department screwed up. Oh well, we'll see what happens... just adds to the Botach lore...

What's up with all the Botach trouble stories lately? I'm guessing they might have bitten off more than they could chew somehow.

Apparently they deal in massive volume to LE and Mil. They really need a dedicated department for civilian sales, but alas, they don't. Or if they do, it's garbage.

I've had no issues from them besides slow service, but the prices have always been worth it.

Lately? They've had a horrible reputation for years.

But given some of their prices, sometimes it's worth the risk. FWIW, I placed two small orders within the past few months. Both arrived without issue; a bit slow, but they arrived.

I think that's most likely the reason why. Dot gov's and dot mil's would have priority over civie orders, so I can see why there would be problems with them trying to cater to all the massive orders buying out their stock.
They probably throw civ orders on the backburner until agency or military orders are fulfilled.
Just pure speculation on my behalf, but the ACH helm I got from them arrived in 2 1/2 days flat with free shipping when I bought from them.

They'll probably expect me to send back the mags out of my own pocket...for their mistake.

I ordered two glock 17 mags and they're still back ordered. I'm going to give them a call sometime this week and see what's going on.

If you have seen their inventory system you could understand how such a screw up would occur. Also the volume they go through.

Sometimes you get lucky, I ordered a 16" Sig 516 upper from Sig and got a nice 10" upper.

What do you mean lately...Botach has been a cluster fugg as far back as 1998.

Update on post #1. So I'll take the one G31 and ask for the rest of my money back for the second one.
