should be easy to draw the line. Hows the energy compared to 223? If it's the same, I'd expect opinions to fall right along the same lines.Comment

Appologies. This is/was not FUD... it was an incorrect statement. You will also notice that I very clearly qualified my response with "if memory serves..."
However, .243/6mm is still the smallest caliber that I would consider ethical...Last edited by Kimber; 09-22-2011, 4:28 AM.Comment

It's doable. Many deer had been killed with a 22lr, why can't a 22hornet Do it? Only question you would ask is "is it legal?" and the answer is no because like some states, you need a centerfire and expanding bullet to be legal.
I never get where the number .243 comes from. I don't even see that number in the DFG book. Lol.Originally posted by GottmitunsIt's not protecting the rights of the 1%, it's IMPOSING new laws because of the 1%.Comment

I like the 22 Hornet, but it costs more that .223, so whats the point. If I have my choice and am not in a survival situation, I am going with at least .243, if not a larger round.Comment

I know a guy taking deer with a .22-250 every year. .223 is a regular round around here, .243 is normal, and .270 is another average round in these parts. All about placement and personal convictions.Comment
