Talk about standing behind your product!

    Saw this on liveleak.
All I have to say is wow. No thank you, I'de prefer not to take a .308 or 44 magnum... hell even a .22 to the chest at point blank range to prove a product. Even if it was mine lol. What I did find interesting is he was literally able to stand on one leg getting shot with the .308. I thought the energy produced by bullets were alot more. But I guess what they say makes since.

I wonder if he would be committed if he tried that nowadays.

I always used to think the same (think Hollywood), but if you remember that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, you would know that the recoil you feel from shooting a gun would be the same as getting hit by the gun... So, a .22 shot to the chest would be minimal while a 12 gauge to the chest would be another story... still not enough to send you across the room, but you get the point! Of course, this is all being pulled from my a**, so someone else may have something better to say on that!

There goes that myth of "knock down power" aye?

Bullets are made to penetrate, not knock stuff over.

Davis used to shoot himself wearing only his 2nd Chance vest. After too many trauma trips to his Doctor's office, he started using a phone book against his chest.

If the bullet penetrated, it would still easily defeat the the Yellow Pages, so just as dangerous. Watched him do it a couple times at the Soldier Of Fortune conventions in Las Vegas back in the 80's and 90's.

So far, according to 2nd Chance, everyone hit in the vest while wearing it correctly, has survived. 2nd Chance gives them a new vest for their troubles.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

Cool to watch but I don't want to participate.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

This is nothing new or isolated back in the 80's when I worked in the industry I heard about it and saw it often it was no big deal. A lot of officers would even volunteer to be shot also...
