    Selling Ammo

Can a citizen sell his/her ammo to another citizen in Kalifornia or do you need a license?

    Thanks

I believe you only have to verify age of person you're selling to. ie 18 for most ammo. 21 for Pistol specific ammo. (if there is really any such category) HTH c good

        It depends.
Are you reloading ammunition and selling it for profit? If so, then you need a manufacturer's license for the ammunition and you'll need the approproate business license and a resale certificate.

If you buy a lot of ammunition and are selling it on a regular basis to make a profit, then you'll need a business license and a resale certificate.

If you had bought a bunch of ammunition and you're just trying to get rid of it, i.e. occasional sale, then you don't need any licenses.

          Thanks all.

It would be an occasional sale.

You're good to go. Just make sure to write with a Black marker "ORM-D" on the box. Some also write "small arms ammunition". They sell actual labels, but it's easier to just write it on
