    USGI Bore Cleaner 1974

A while ago, I picked up some cans of USGI Rifle Bore Cleaner.
Was this stuff any good, and do you think it is still usable after 33 years?
    Thanks.

I can't advise you as to if it is/isn't still good, but I CAN advise you to sell ME one, if you don't mind.

a couple years ago i used a can of RBC that was made in the 85 and it worked just fine. if it lasted 20 years with no problems i would think 30 years would be ok too.

I have a case of that stuff-like 20 cans- I'd give a couple away. I think it has Trichloroethane in it...; the stuff is like gold to the machining industry. Makes an incredible cutting fluid.

Mine are all 16 oz cans!

I was just wondering if it was good stuff or how is it different from Hoppes #9 and other commercial bore cleaners.
          Thanks.
