Enjoyed going shopping with the wife for once

Was out with the wife last week and she said she needed to stop and get a new pair of shoes for work, we were right by a Big 5 so I stopped. While she went to the back to try shoes on, I went to the gun counter to look at the Mossburg defence shotgun on sale. Then what did I spot a Remington 870 home defence with a sale tag for $309.99 had my $10.00 off $50.00 or more coupon thats $299.99 then the salesman tells me that Remington also has a $30.00 off mail in coupon. That's $269.99 plus tax and background check, so it was sign me up, now I have 5 more days to wait, and the best thing was the wife couldn't find any shoes she liked.

My wife is always enthusiastic about my gun purchases because 1) she knows she gets to shoot them and 2) she knows I won't be able to deny her whatever fancy shoes/dress/spa treatment she wants...

my wife keeps me on the short leash whenever there are tools or firearms availible for purchase. If we didnt have a kid on the way it might bug me, but im already almost done building my tm .308 which has not been cheap and the wife has not killed me yet. Although, come to think of it, maybe she is just waiting for the murder weapon to be finished. I guess I will start to worry when she begins to complain my gun is taking too long to build.
