Cow Palace or Vallejo Show

I am looking for reloading supplies and equipment, which show would you recommend?

The cow palace is a little bigger, but the same vendors go to both shows. I'd say it depends if you are close to either. Also keep in mind entrance fee and parking! On the otherwise you can order online but have to pay for shipping and hazmat charge.

If you're looking for reloading supplies, Graf and Sons is a good online resource that gives an extra discount for Curio and Relic (FFL03) holders.

Check their site out and put a /dealer at the end of the main page address and you can view the discounts I'm talking about.

depends on the gun. The last time I was at the Vallejo show, I didn't see a lot of handguns. I suggest to do the research on the type of gun, shoot it, then search online and in stores.

True that, however getting your first gun used is dicey as you won't necessarily know what is bad wear vs good wear. I see way too many "like new in box" guns on the forum for sale here that seem to have a few thousand rounds of wear.

Also, know that gun-show people are much harder to find if you get a gun with a problem from them.

As for reloading equipment there is usually a big table full of it near one wall at the Cow Palace.

Don't expect much of a break in price at these gun shows. Go to a few stores, see which gun feels right in your hand and shoots well for you (if you haven't already). I haven't purchased a gun from Tripple A Sporting Goods in Vallejo but i have heard nothing but good things about them and that you can sometimes haggle the price with the owner. The next gun i get will definitely be through them. I've been in there 2x to look at their inventory and they very helpful and patient. Great group of guys there.
