    Big bore airgun, 45 caliber!

I been wanting one of these since i saw it. Lol, I wonder since firearms can't have silencers, could this fit for a silencer eh? Hahaha.

    Well, sort of.

silencers are a weird issue because they're ONLY banned for firearms use and are, TECHNICALLY, legal for air guns.

The problem is, if the silencer can be removed from the air gun in one piece so that it can still be used with a real firearm, then it will be treated as a firearm suppressor and will be illegal.

If they could make it as an integral suppressor that could not be removed or re-purposed without destroying it, it would be fine. But that's pretty much impossible.

This is how the Gamo Whisper was approved...the silencer is integral with the barrel.

It's more than that. The baffles are actually plastic and would collapse under the pressures of a .22lr round without suppressing any sound. So even if you get it off the barrel and manage to attach it to a real .22, it won't work. That's more key to how they got it legalized than it just being integral to the barrel.

I don't know why I find that so funny!

Man, between this and the recent crossbow discussion, there seems to be a few options for quiet weapons....

How the heck do you fill these rifles with air? Do they require a SCUBA cylinder or can you pump them up by hand?

I think they have a adopter where you fill by scuba. But I have a airgun expert that can convert them for me to carry a 4800PSI 68Ci tank attached to it. haha... like a paintball gun.

Nothing stops em like .45 ACP (air gun wise)

I bet that can tackle yote's and small feral hogs as well (within a reasonable short distance).
