    Del-Ton Midlenght

Alright. I just bought, well actually I jus received a Del-Ton Mid-Lenght Ar 15 for my Birthday. Great present right. I have been wanting an AR for the longest time. I haven't been able to shoot it yet but just wanted some advise and all. Looking for help with cleaning it what kind of stuff is good to look for. And starting to think of good optics. Would really like to start looking into competition shooting.
So any experience that you may have and would like to share would be great.

In one of the gun magazines they have an article about the Delton "mid-length". I read it was an excellent rifle that's reliable and had a nice chrome bore.

Don't worry about optics just yet, get good with iron sights. You'd be surprised how accurate you can be with irons. People talk down about Del-Ton, but I've build 2 so far, and they both eat any ammo we put through them, including steel cased. They're also very accurate. Cleaning is easy, clean off all the crud you can see, get a bore snake and make a couple passes through it after a session, lube it up, and go shoot some more.

George Washington didn't use the 1st amendment to defeat the British...he shot them.
