Anyone make an IWB molded *GOOD* Makarov holster??

Anyone out there make a GOOD, molded, IWB (in waist band) design holster for the Makarov-nik that is any good???

Ive had a couple generic one-size-fits-nothing options for PPK's and the like, but nothing specifically *FOR* the great Makarov..... The closest I've used is an Uncle Mikes generic PPS sized unit w/a synthetic clip...it works OK but the gun *CAN* fall out sometimes, which makes it almost worthless really.

Preferably I'd like something low profile, designed IWB w/retention snap (for the belt, not the gun)...I want no gun retention outside of the "boning" or form-fitting of the holster


This FOBUS is the closest I've seen to what I'd like, but I don't like the big paddle (I guess I could cut it down) I'd rather have a retention clip/strap or something....

I prefer synthetics like Kydex but leather is good too... I want a piece I can DEPEND on...

Anyone got any ideas???? I'd willingly pay the right price for a good custom piece from a reputed maker, as long as someone has had experience with the design in question (I dont wanna blow $150 on drawer jewelry)

makarov.com is out of the Falco IWB holsters at the momment apparently, but you could probably find someone else that has them with a little google work...

Yah it goes in the toilet tank sometimes when on vacation... but if you're implying its a POS, then I heavily disagree with you.

I have a Bulgarian, 1985 production...over 6500 rounds thru it without a SINGLE stoppage, FTF or FTE, or stove pipe...

I'd put my Mak against any SIG or 1911 or anything out there in a "shootout"...Its accurate as hell (fixed barrel) and it won't quite working....

Even after a 500rd shooting session its clean enough to just load and carry some more....

I love the MAK

Try Brigade gun leather. I just bought one of their M-11's and the workmanship is TOP NOTCH. The M-11 can be made for the Makarov.

I ordered my holster on August 31 and charged it to my CC. They sent me an email saying that they didn't stock for my pistol (S&W 6906) and that it would take 15 weeks to build the holster. I got my new holster on Oct 5th - 5 weeks later.

It's hand boned to fit and doesn't need a retention strap to keep the pistol in place. It's comfortable to wear while standing but is a pain in the kidney after sitting for awhile (typical). I had to add a couple holes to move the belt loops to give mine more tilt for my personal needs but there's plenty of adjustment area available to do this. The holster holds the pistol butt against you but still allows for a smooth draw.

The M-11 is IWB but not tuckable. Mine cost $103 incl shipping; so, not cheap but not expensive either. I'd buy one but don't need to because I already have one.
