Was looking for a fixed stock for my AR and guy at work offered me a original AR stock. How much should I offer for it? Can't find how much a new one cost and not sure if a old one is worth more or not or if it will fit?

Early 70's Cold AR stock worth?

i think i bought some old fairly used M16a2 surplus stocks for $7/ea from oldgrouch milsurp. IIRC, that was without the buffer tube but did come with the buttplate.
I'd probably pay $20 if it was complete with tube... but that's just me (paying for the item based on function and NOT collectibility.

Thanks. Just realized I typed Cold instead of Colt.
We were talking $50 it's supposed to be in mint condition taken off new. My main intent was to get a fixed stock. This one came up so collectablility was an after thought.Comment

$50 for an entire Colt A1 or A2 stock kit is a good dealComment
