    Target question

I find asking this ridiculous...... but heh.... we're in California.

Are there any paper targets that are "illegal" in the state of California??

I went online to Amazon to order some paper targets, and the description ask that you "check with local laws before ordering".

Unbelievable..... god I want to move somewhere's else....

Anyway..... and input is greatly appreciated.

The targets in question are "anatomy" targets.

    Thanks

Nothing illegal that I know of. Exploding targets are definitely not going to fly at any range I have ever been to but I do not know about personal use. Some of your local shooting ranges restrict you from using any targets that portray a human form but others could care less.

      Thanks...

These will not be used in a range. Anatomy are human form..... just wanted to find out if there are any local laws prohibiting them.

No laws, but some ranges have a policy against human or human-ish looking targets.

Iron Sights in Oceanside wouldn't let me use my Bin Laden targets.

            Depends upon the range...

            In the SF Bay Area:

Target Masters West allow the B27 silhouette, and the faint anatomy target on the milk bottle, but not "face" targets or animal targets.

Reed's Indoor Range have not complained about any target I have brought in.

Metcalf (field sport park) only allows bullseye, and on Thanksgiving every, a turkey target.

You may want to check with your favorite ranges first before ordering. This isn't MA.

Cordova said I could bring zombie targets in as long as I try to shoot the upper half, the rangemaster said they don't like full length tagets because it rips up the stringers too fast. Told him I don't practice gut shots anyway.
