          Hey Jon,

I don't know if you saw the aluminum cases I use, but I like the Strong Cases, made by TNB. You can see them at the Castro Valley Gun Shop. I like that they have a built-in lock that actually works, and they are super tough.

Their website kinda sucks, but it's: http://www.strongcasebytnb.com/

Mike (and everyone else), thanks for the info.

I guess the other requirement I have is weight. How are the Strong Cases in this area?

Just wanted to add that Starlight cases are supposed to be better.

I have two and really love them a lot.

Be sure to get CLOSED CELL FOAM.

YES, it is more expensive, but it doens't absorb moisture/oil so it will last longer and protect a lot better than open cell foam. It also cushions better than open cell, which is softer.

They're pretty light to me, but I'm hella buff, so your mileage may vary.

I had the same problems finding some one that had them in stock so I ended up ordering a 1720 from www.casesbypelican.com with the closed cell polyethylene. I am very happy with it so far and it has wheels making transport easy. Now what I really want is a mobile office field desk from Hardigg Cases.
