It must be their specific problem. DROS is rarely down and I certainly have been DROSing guns all though those dates.
ok i believe you just one question on the dojs web site they say after you report that your system is down then you can use an operator assisted phone system temporarily. what are they referring to then?

May I opt to report DROS transactions via telephone reporting?
No. However if your DOJ/MCI-issued computer malfunctions, immediately contact the MCI Service Center at 1-800-974-3767 to report the problem. You may then use the operator-assisted telephone system temporarily until your computer is repaired.

I wonder how many dealers still have the "DOJ/MCI-issued computer". Wasn't that like an 8088 PC? (LOL...I kid though.) Seems that would be the only exception and only if that computer "malfunctions", not if the DROS system is down.

I'm pretty sure if it's actually the DROS system that's down they can do it on paper and then submit the DROS via the computer when it comes back up. Your 10 day wait would start from the time the paper was filled out not when the system comes back up.

If it's some other sort of problem like them not paying or their license being suspended then they're SOL and cannot do anything.

I'm pretty certain that the 240 hour wait starts when the DROS is electronically submitted. I've been wrong before though.

DROS starts once it is submitted electronically, the 4473 paperwork is not tied to the DROS in anyway. From what i understand DOJ is going through the Centralized list renewal period, shipments were held up for many other gunstores through out CA. For Valkyrie orders and incoming shipment commenced as of yesterday and DROS was up on Tuesday but went down on Wednesday(yesterday)due to a DOJ fumble(how do i know? because i was the one calling). After calling MCI they said everything is fine on their side, call this number xxx-xxx-xxxx low and behold its the infamous lady that is in control of this whole thing that does not like to pick up the phone.

Everything is fine with our CFLC,according to MCI our DROS is good as well and whatever else it takes to run this buisness but the women who is in charge of over seeing special firearms licensees forgot to reactivate the DROS part of it.According to her it should and will be up by tomorrow and they should be fully back in buisness

Tyler i believe they gave you a killer deal on that M6A2 not sure but i believe they did.

and to answer the question about why Valkyrie Arms is not a vendor sponsor on CalGuns, they are actually waiting for the Valkyrie Arms account to be upgraded by Dave.

              and on a side note

Valkyrie Arms will be having its 1 year anniversary sale / BBQ

I would say go elsewhere, but if its an it dros issue on cadoj's end, then other stores would have that problem no?

Not that I don't work there or anything but we are trying our best to get CADOJ to get us back up and running. I feel your pain Uruz but sometimes things happen, I am sure that once the dros is up and running and you get your rifle after the 10 days of aggravation are over you will be more than happy with the outcome. I am sure that this matter will be taken care of and that this will not keep you or others from coming back.

DROS just doesn't go down for several weeks.

Sounds like a bill didn't get paid, a local license didn't get renewed in time, or someones COE expired.

Sh*t happens, but come on, just be honest about it.

It was not due to not paying the DROS. It is being resolved, thanks for your concern.

                          Then what happened?

Because JeffM is right. DROS doesn't just go down. You either fail to pay the bill, fail to renew a COE or CL, or fail to renew some other license.

Now, if it was just your computer down. Get another one. DROS just runs on IE. ANY computer running IE with an internet connection can submit a DROS.
