    Move to Fire, my book about the events detailed in this essay and in the decade since the auction, will be available in Summer 2015. This essay, written on the seventh anniversary of the auction, recounts events leading to the day a quadriplegic teenager from Northern California and his attorney, with the support of and donations from thousands of people around the country, attempted to purchase the assets of a gun manufacturer that had gone into bankruptcy to avoid paying the teen a record $24 million judgment.


    The article does try to stay balanced but clearly has an anti-gun stance. Still, interesting to read about for any gun enthusiast.
