    Help Identifying gun barrel

I picked up this barrel at my local flea market for $2 and was wondering if anybody recognized it. I myself am not too familiar with guns on parts alone so I turn to you. Seems Like a revolver barrel but I don't know. It's about 3.5" long and about a half inch thick. Thanks.

    Very interesting..

But a revolver wouldn't have a feed ramp or an extractor recess milled out.

So I would guess it's from an old (Pre-War) auto pistol.

Does it have any caliber markings?...did you measure the bore?

Hey thanks for the quick response but by "not familiar by parts alone" I meant I have no idea what I'm looking at. The bore appears to be 7mm or 5/16. I don't see any markings though.

Slug the barrel with lead fishing weights, use calipers to measure the lands and grooves. That'll give us something more to work with.

        It's definitely an automatic, though.

Thanks. I'll do that but it's going to take some time as I don't have my fishing gear with me. Will post what I come up with.

Looks like one of the Mauser 1914 variations.

You may be right. After a quick image search and I think it closely resembles the Mauser 1934 barrel. Thanks.
