Can you have two empty guns and four loaded magazines in the same locked case in your trunk or SUV?

Long arms, sure. Doesn't need to be locked. Handguns needs locks. Just be sure loaded mags are not in guns.

Yes you can. The Trunk is considered the same as a locked case as long as the rear seat doesn't fold down. (from the inside)

You can transport an unloaded Handgun in the trunk with ammo as long as the ammo is not inserted into the weapon. No problem.

For me, I use a briefcase with my GLOCK 29 and several loaded magazines. That way I can carry the briefcase on the front seat of my car.

Once again, the loaded magazines can be in the same locked case (briefcase with combo locks) as the GLOCK, but not inserted into the weapon.

^ i dont know about that.... I thought it was have gun in trunk empty and mags unloaded in front or reverse...

No, the handguns do not need locks.

You can carry a handgun with ammo (not inserted) in a locked container on the front seat or on your lap if you desire. Locked container is all you need.

No locks on the handguns. That lock that came with the weapon is to keep children at home from shooting the weapon and has nothing to do with transporting a weapon in a car.

For the OP..here is how I LEGALLY transport my GLOCK 29 (10MM).

I have a NETBOOK CASE that I bought at TARGET. (18 bucks)

I have the UNLOADED weapon with 2 loaded magazines inside.



I let the locked case float around my car. Usually on the front-seat, sometimes on the floor, depending on where I am. It is legal and doesn't scream GUN like a locked gun bag would.

It locks with a Wally World combo lock.
