Big Reno Gun Show Today 8-19-11
Just got back from the Big Reno Gun Show. $10 for one day admission. Free parking. You can get a room at the Grand Sierra for $100 or one at Motel 6 for $50. Couple of detours up in the pass but traffic was light.
Steel Dental Tools for gun cleaning, 3 for $10
Garand surplus cleaning tool with a new replacement brass brusch $30
All those marvelous standard capacity magazines that you cannot Import or Procure in California. The California DOJ agents monitoring the magazine tables for Californians were either well disguised or using remote electronic surveillance.
AGI videos 3 for $100. Check them out if you don't know about them. http://www.americangunsmith.com/
Hundreds of gorgeous knives.
Saw only one seller of surplus ammo cans. Just a couple of dozen stacked on a table. .30 Cal and .50 Cal both $12 each.
Is there a ammo can famine?
Hundreds and Hundreds of guns, old and new. Beautiful and ugly.
Books, manuals, parts, tools, accessories. Didn't notice any jerky or candy.
Maybe a thousand people spread accross the two rooms. Only medium crowded. If you've never been it's really something. It's really big.
Miwall Ammo. The real reason for going to a gun show.
Remember the three person deep crowd all around the counter and waiting an hour to get a clerk's attention? I waited about 5 minutes this morning. They'll loan you a big, strong hand truck if you leave your drivers license.
I got:
.38 Special Miwall Reloads $88 for 500. 17.6 cents a round. Can't beat that.
Winchester Ranger 12 Gauge Low Recoil Slugs for $130 / case of 250. 52 cents a round.
I saw:
Blazer (Not Brass) .357 Mag 50 rounds for $17 and 50 Miwall .357 brass reloads for the same price.
9mm UMC Value Packs 250 rounds for $50
9mm Miwall Reloads 1000 rounds for $156
