Exploding Targets

I was picking up some .223 ammo today and noticed that my local dealer had a display of exploding targets. He was stoked to say the least he had about 4 guys waiting around till they where closed to go test the new product. So yea I bought a 1 pounder just to see what all the hype was about.

So I waited till about 8:30 to blow this thing up, I wanted to see a big ball of fire. You know. But yea no ball of fire just a big poof and a nice sized bang.
This stuff was cool I think that I would buy it again, next time Im getting a 5 pounder though. I tried to take some video but it was all grainy cause it was so late sorry fellas.

I got 2 5lb tubs of it at the last gun show and still waiting to use it.

From what i heard when tannerite blows up it is just water vapor, thats why you saw no flame when it went off.

Be careful. I don't think we've determined if it's completely legal and people have lost their rights over tannnerite before.

I always wanted to set a jar near a ground squirrel mound. Then when they get use to it and stand on top, shoot the Tannerite out from under em. Could be cool

Well, what about making something with flower or baking soda? Or nearly empty spray cans.

Use compressed air and your imagination. Make a mount for soda cans or liter bottle so they stay in place when shot and watch them shoot all over the place. Or just go old school and watch them spin around freely.

Oh, I know. How about a CO2 cartridge put in a container of flower. Then when the CO2 is hit it should blow the flower all over the place.

So I called my local Sheriffs office and they told me that if my local shop was selling it that they don't see any problem with it. They told me that if was shipped to the sate that there is no problem. Im waiting for a call back from the Sheriffs secretary for an official answer. Also called the shop selling it they told me pretty much the same thing. After I followed all those links and they all lead back to 2 docs I am not totally convinced I would like to see the case that this guy spent 20k on. In the meanwhile Ill steer clear of picking up any more.
