    B.A.D.-*** ambi safety selector

I am looking at adding an ambi ss.
the BAD-*** has Standard, Short, Thin, Short+Thin and hybrid options.

As I've never used one I really don't know what type of lever to put on the other side.

    What say you?

works a-ok Ive taken a carbine course that required engaging the safety often, probably would have been more of a chore if had been the standard/left side only safety.

Mine work great (standard config) though I don't use my weapon for work or anything mission critical. It is convenient to have the ambi there and both sets have been smooth.

I have Standard/Hybrid on mine. I can't imagine working my rifle without them now, excellent product.

I'm a big fan of ambi safeties but wasn't too excited about paying $60 for the BAD-A**. I picked up two LMT ambi safeties used for $40 and with a hacksaw, a sander, and some jeweler's files I made a stubby and a thin lever to see which one I liked best. Took about 10 minutes each and a few more minutes to blue them.

I liked the thin lever but the stubby was easier to manipulate for me. I made the rest of my ambi safeties thin on any long-mid range guns and stuck with the stubbies for any short barrel, fast shooting rifles.
