    May Start Doubling up Calibers

Seems pretty common to double, or in some cases, triple up on like caliber weapons to maxamize ammo. Sounds good to me.

    Hers's what Im thinking,

To go with my Glock-19 thinking of getting a sub-compact in 9mm like the Glock 26 or compact Sig P229

For my XD-40 sub thinking of adding H&K P2000

And for my Ruger P90, thinking of adding the Glock 30 or a Kimber.

I have ~4k rounds of these calibers on hand and reload my own to keep stock up.

What caliber have you doubled/tripled up on?

    Ruger Blackhawk in .357
Smith and Wesson double action revolver in .357
Marlin lever action 1894C in .357

And of course all of these also shoot .38 Special.

      Why not?

      I have two 40 S&Ws, two 308s, three 243s, two 12 gs. I'm even looking at a second 375.

You might also want to think about getting a handgun caliber rifle to add to the mix, my 9mm rifle is loads of fun.

.45ACP. I'll probably be only buying .45ACP pistols from now on, not because the 9mm is insufficient or anything, I just prefer the recoil characteristics of a .45 over a 9mm.

It makes things easy. Hell, I have 3 handguns which all use the same mags.

Yep - Except I added a Carbine in .45ACP to match the G21.

Next up - Is a matching set of 9mm Carbine and G26.

Then a 12.5" AR pistol (80% lower build) to go with the AR - Both in 6.8....

1911's are available in .45, so I have multiple, and by the grace of God most of them utilize the same magazines

I do have a few .22's, 9mm's, and 5.56's though, now just need another .357 and a couple large calibers

Yeah, several pistols (+ a long gun or two - same caliber) makes the ammo supply stretch farther---great idea---already done it!

I've got a few rifles that share calibers:

                        Two 308s: Savage 16 and LR308 clone.
Three 7.62x39s: Saiga 7.62, Yugo RPK, and AMD pistol.
                        Two x54s: Romanian M44 and Chinese Type-53.

Technically I have two 9mms, but one is a conversion barrel that doesn't work all that well because CZ-52 magazines suck for 9mm.
